We are continuing our growth at Digi-Bridge!

Later this month, we will be welcoming Sebastian Byers as our new Program Manager.

Sebastian comes to Digi-Bridge after years of working for Union County Public Schools, PBS Media North Carolina and Cleveland County Schools. Most recently at Union County Public Schools, Sebastian worked as a science teacher responsible for teaching AP biology, biology, chemistry, earth science, and physical science to middle school and high school level students in a virtual school dedicated to education utilizing an online and blended learning model. He uses a holistic approach which incorporated innovative academic tools combined with a digital platform to close the learning gap, and create well-rounded students in the process. 

“I am looking forward to sharing my love of STEM with the Charlotte community,” Sebastian said.  “I truly believe that the path to human betterment is for all people to be well versed and enjoy science. Working with our neighborhood schools, families, and communities is a wonderful way to support student learning both in and outside of the classroom.”

Digi-Bridge CEO Alyssa Sharpe could not be more excited to have Sebastian join the team where his primary role will be to oversee the organization’s programmatic functions, including managing a multi-year grant project which aims to grow programming and robotics coursework offerings in partnership with Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools. 

“The time is right for Digi-Bridge to really examine our programs and focus on expanding what we are offering our scholars,” Alyssa said. “Sebastian’s background as an educator and STEM enthusiast make him a perfect fit for our team. We can’t wait for him to start.”
