This July, show your interns why Charlotte is more than just a summer stop—it’s a place to build a future. The Crown Town Challenge: Intern Edition is a one-of-a-kind event where interns from companies across the region team up to give back through STEAM education, build meaningful connections, and experience firsthand what makes this city—and your company—so special.
Through corporate sponsorship, companies can secure exclusive spots for their interns to participate in a high-energy day of impact and innovation. In partnership with the Charlotte Regional Business Alliance and hosted by AvidXchange, the Crown Town Challenge invites intern teams to assemble STEAMKits for local students, take on a fast-paced LEGO robotics challenge, and connect with peers from across the region—all while proudly representing their company and commitment to the Queen City.
Participation in the Crown Town Challenge: Intern Edition is available exclusively through sponsorship. Each sponsorship level includes:
Whether you’re bringing five interns or your entire summer cohort, there’s a sponsorship tier that aligns with your team size and community goals. And best of all—every STEAMKit your team assembles goes directly to a student who needs it.
Get ready for a day packed with purpose and play! The Crown Town Challenge: Intern Edition will take place at the AvidXchange Silver Hammer building at the NC Music Factory.
Intern teams will participate in STEAMKit assembly, robotics competitions, and networking moments designed to spark both fun and inspiration. The event will wrap with an exciting awards ceremony to crown the ultimate champions.
