This July, show your interns why Charlotte is more than just a summer stop—it’s a place to build a future. The Crown Town Challenge: Intern Edition is a one-of-a-kind event where interns from companies across the region team up to give back through STEAM education, build meaningful connections, and experience firsthand what makes this city—and your company—so special.
Companies can still secure exclusive spots for their interns to participate in a high-energy day of impact and innovation through a sponsorship package. In partnership with the Charlotte Regional Business Alliance’s INtern CLT program, and hosted by AvidXchange, the Crown Town Challenge invites intern teams to assemble STEAMKits for local students, take on a fast-paced LEGO robotics challenge, and connect with peers from across the region—all while proudly representing their company and commitment to the Queen City.
Companies can participate in the Crown Town Challenge: Intern Edition through a sponsorship package or by registering interns individually.
Each sponsorship level includes:
Individual registration is now available for interns whose companies aren’t sponsoring a group but still want to join the fun.
Whether you’re bringing five interns, your entire summer cohort, or just signing up solo, there’s a way to be part of the challenge—and every STEAMKit assembled at the event goes directly to a student in Charlotte who needs it.
Get ready for a day packed with purpose and play! The Crown Town Challenge: Intern Edition will take place at the AvidXchange Silver Hammer building at the NC Music Factory.
Intern teams will participate in STEAMKit assembly, robotics competitions, and networking moments designed to spark both fun and inspiration. The event will wrap with an exciting awards ceremony to crown the ultimate champions.
