Digi-Bridge Responds to Novel Coronavirus COVID-19

Dear Digi-Bridge Family,

The safety, well-being, and health of our scholars is of utmost concern to the staff and board of Digi-Bridge. We are, therefore, mindful of the Novel Coronavirus COVID-19, which has been widely reported and continues to spread. We are closely following health authorities including the Centers for Disease Control and Mecklenburg County Health Department.

At this time, Digi-Bridge is proceeding as scheduled with all Digi-Bridge #STEAMSaturdays courses. We will continue to monitor the situation and will update families as to any changes in our events. We will follow the lead of Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools and work with our site hosts if any cancellations are necessary.

We are taking many steps to keep our scholars and facilitators healthy and prevent the spread of COVID-19:

  • We keep our class sizes low.  Our #STEAMSaturdays courses have always had a low facilitator to student ratio to ensure proper instruction and attention.
  • We encourage clean hands. All scholars will be asked to wash their hands prior to touching any of our computers and robotics kits.
  • We clean our materials. We will thoroughly clean our robotics kits, computers, and supplies to prevent the spread of germs on surfaces.

We are closely monitoring the situation and adjusting to any new developments. We will communicate any changes through our website, email and social media channels.
