Will You Help Us #StockTheSTEAMLab?
It’s no secret that COVID-19 has had a profound impact on our scholars who are missing in-person learning and hands-on experiences. Over the past several months, our organization has been working directly with the communities we serve to fulfill unmet needs.
Since March 19, we have developed free learning resources for teachers and students, deployed 2,000 at-home STEAM kits thanks to corporate partner support, and now, we are launching STEAMLab, a virtual experience for our Title 1 partner schools matched with personal learning kits for scholars to tinker, build, and create. Through STEAMLab, we will serve 1,500 students, provide professional development and support for 30 CMS teachers, and develop content about engineering/design, 3D printing, robotics, app development and more to prepare students for the digital age.
Today, on October 19, Digi-Bridge will launch a two-week fundraising campaign called #StocktheSTEAMLab to raise $10,000. As we work to support our students at home, our need for funds to make and deliver individual STEAM kits increases. Additionally, our organization has not been immune to the effects of the pandemic as we see changes to financial gifts to sustain our work. We have audacious goals for our future including opening a physical programming space, serving more scholars through our robotics initiative, and providing professional development to teachers.
We hope you’ll consider making a gift to Digi-Bridge to support our #StocktheSTEAMLab campaign so we can get materials and learning into the hands of our scholars who need it the most.
