#STEAMSummer is Happening! Learn More and Join Us.

We are into the second half of summer, your sunscreen is in short supply and school supplies have reappeared on store shelves.

Now is the perfect time for a little fun while learning.

This year, we re-introduced our #STEAMSummer Intensives, which provide an alternative to the traditional summer camp experience — a modern alternative where scholars will learn new skills and make new friends. Last week we held our first intensive at SouthPark’s Pfeiffer University campus and it was awesome!

Our K-8 scholars arrived at 8:30 a.m. each day eager for hands-on learning using LEGO robotics, Sphero robotics and 3D pen printing. We had some active unplugged time, learning the chemical reaction of slime making.

During the morning, scholars were able to meet new friends, explore new activities, enjoy their lunches and spend time reflecting on the day’s activities.

Our certified K-8 instructors, like Mary-Ashley Davino were on hand to lead the sessions which also included building slime and used the Core of Coding curriculum.

“My favorite part of #STEAMSummer is the excitement kids have from the moment they walk in until the moment they leave for the day,” Davino said. “Their energy, creativity and want to challenge themselves further is incredible! They teach me something new every day.”

If your scholar loves our #STEAMSaturdays courses or you would love them to join us for the very first time, all skill levels can benefit from this extended experience to code more and build bigger.

Register today for our final #STEAMSummer Intensive which takes place Aug. 5-9 at Aloft Charlotte Ballantyne. Each day begins at 8:30 a.m. and concludes at 1 p.m. Cost is $375. Financial assistance is available.
